After a successful launch of MIUI 12.5 in the Chinese market in December 2020, Xiaomi is all set to globally launch its MIUI 12.5 on 8th February 2021.

This launch event will be live-streamed globally on Facebook. This new update will bring out some improvements in the existing MIUI version along with some additional features like Sandbox support for photos, floating windows, and MIUI+ to provide sync between a Xiaomi phone and a Windows desktop and more.
Xiaomi announced the update on 29th January 2021 via the MIUI official Twitter handle. However there are no other details mentioned about the launch, but reports suggest that MI can also announce the global release of Xiaomi MI 11 (or MI 11 Pro) with the MIUI 12.5 virtual launch.
The reports suggest that there won’t be any major changes other than the Chinese version.
One of the major features of the MIUI 12.5 includes MIUI+. The MIUI+ works similar to Microsoft’s Your Phone app which allows the users to integrate their phones with the Windows OS. This will allow the users to access notifications, text messages, and photos directly through the Windows’ screen. This feature also enables users to access their phone’s clipboard data and also allows users to access some of the apps installed on their device to be directly accessed by their connected Windows device.
MIUI Chinese version has announced about 32 percent less memory in operations. It also consumes 17 percent less power than its predecessors. However, MIUI is yet to announce the details about the phones that are about to receive the Global MIUI 12.5 UI Global update.
However, some of the models like, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 9 are some of the phones that are eligible for this global update in China and the same is expected with the Global Version.
